TRAVIS WARNER GREGORY
   Graveside funeral services for Travis Warner Gregory, 88, of Groveton, Texas were held on Saturday March 1, 2008 at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
    Mr. Gregory was born February 11, 1920 in Cleveland, Ms. and passed away Wed-nesday February 27, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas. He was affiliated with the Scrub Creek Baptist Church and was retired from the restaurant business.
  Survivors include his daughter Lynda Kocian of Moulton, Texas; sons James Gregory, Sr. of New Caney, Texas and Daniel Gregory of Groveton; brother Walter Gregory of Houston, Texas; sister Mary Sue Alexander of Groveton, Texas; five grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

MELBA KATHLEEN HALL
   Funeral services for Melba Kathleen Hall, 73, of Trinity, Texas were held Monday March 3, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Dorcus Wills Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas with Bro. Leroy Brown officiating.  Interment followed in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas.
   Mrs. Hall was born December 24, 1934 in Highlands, Texas and passed away Friday February 29, 2008 in Trinity, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Dorcus Wills Baptist Church in Trinity.
  Pallbearers were Bill Broach, Joe Farris, Roy Karner, Gene Matlock, George Shuttlesworth, and Ray Smith.
   Survivors include husband B. C. Hall of Trinity, Texas; sons and daughters in law Greg and Teri Hall of the Woodlands, Texas and Jerry and Patti Hall of Santa Fe, Texas; daughter and son in law Robin and Tom Hudson of Smithville, Texas; sisters Marilyne Duorsky of Magnolia, Texas and Juanice Thompson of Keller, Texas; eight grandchildren Meagann Chessire, Mallory Hall, Morgan Hall, Mickenzie Hall, Stacee Clark, Amy Hall, Amada Romo, and Jacki Short; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
    In lieu of Memorial, memorials may be made to Dorcus Wills Baptist Church building fund.

KELLY ANN JEFFCOTE COLLIER
  Graveside services for Kelly Ann Jeffcote Collier of Sanger, Texas were held Friday February 22, 2008 at 2:00pm in Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, Texas with John Eckstein officiating.
    Kelly was born July 3, 1957 in Houston, Texas and passed away Tuesday February 19, 2008 in Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
   Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister.  She was employed at Denton Hospital in Denton, Texas until her health forced her to retire.  She had a 7 ½ year battle with cancer that finally overtook her.
   The family wants to thank Hospice for their loving care and compassion during her last days.  We will be forever grateful to each and every one of them.
   She leaves to grieve her passing, her  husband of 25 years Kenneth Collier of Sanger, Texas; her ten year old daughter Stacey Collier of Sanger, Texas; parents Floyd and Joy Jeffcote of Groveton, Texas; brother Barry Jeffcote and wife Tracey of Spring, Texas; nephews Cody and Brock Jeffcote of Spring, Texas; and numerous other relatives and many, many friends.

JOHNELLEN RENFRO PARKS
   Graveside service for Johnellen Renfro Parks,  was held on Friday February 22, 2008 at 3:00pm in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Everett McCollum officiating.
   Mrs. Parks was born February 19, 1918, the third child of Jesse and Hettie Clegg Renfro, in Trinity, Texas and passed from this life on Tuesday February 19, 2008, her 90th birthday, in Alvin Convalescent Center, Alvin, TX. She was a longtime resident of Pasadena, TX and member of Parkwood United Methodist Church. She grew up in Trinity, active in school sports, church and academics. As a teenager, along with her siblings, she helped in the family business, Renfro Funeral Home, which is now Waller-Thornton Funeral Home.  After graduating from Trinity High School she enrolled in St Joseph School of Nursing, where she studied for 36 months straight, earning a Registered Nurse certification.  Soon after finishing nursing school she married the church organist and settled in Mississippi and Missouri to raise their family. After many years of private nursing and the loss of her husband, she moved to Pasadena, Texas and began a career of industrial nursing as an employee of Champion Paper Company, retiring in 1986.
  She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; husband Walter Edmund Parks; daughter Erma Beth Parks Holland; and son Walter Edmund Parks, Jr.

Survivors include sister Beth Renfro Mainer of Alvin and brother Jack Renfro, of Pasadena; son-in-law Mark Holland of Baltimore, MD; and daughter-in-law Shelia Parks Pace of Diamondhead, MS; four grandchildren; six great-grand-children; and numerous nephews, nieces, and many cousins.

LOUVENA MAY HARPER
   Ms. Harper will be laid to rest in Grandview Memorial Park at a later date. She was born in Lubbock, Texas, on January 4, 1926 to the late B. M. and Lucille Lacky Gilliam and passed away on Saturday February 16, 2008 in The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 81.
   Ms. Harper was a homemaker all her adult life; she was a loving mother and grandmother.
   She is preceded in death by husband Jay O. Harper and a daughter Ann Ellen Bayless.
   Survivors include sons Johnny O. Harper and wife Mary and Bobby Ray Harper and wife Yvonne; grandchildren, Jason and Kristeen Harper, Kimberly and Shawn Robinson, Wayne and Jana Moody, Diane and David Shalkton, Debra and Robert Crossland, and Michael and Amy Harper great-grandchildren Kieenly, Josh, Heather, Jewel, Michael, Brian, Kerrie, Nicole, Kateland, and Rachael; sister, Kay Gibson and husband Eddie Wayne; and. numerous other relatives.
