    A graveside service for Ralph Edwin Salley, 79, of Apple Springs, Texas was held Wednesday May 9, 2007 at Forest Park East Cemetery at 11:00 am with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating.  Interment followed in Forest Park East Interstate 45 South.
   Mr. Salley was born July 1, 1927 in Benton, Arkansas and passed away Monday May 7, 2007 in Lufkin, Texas.  He was a retired Chief Dispatch Manager for Enterprise Transportation and was affiliated with Forest Oaks Baptist Church.
   Survivors include a special companion Sylverene Davis of Apple Springs, Texas; sons Gary Ralph Salley of Groveton and Gregory Lee Salley of Cushing, Texas; daughter Edie Teresa Martinez of Nacog-doches, Texas; sisters Elizabeth Hardin of Houston, Texas, Maxine Garmany of Houston, Texas, and Deana Ashley of Franklin, La.; three grandchildren Colin Salley of California, Chris Salley of Houston, Texas, and Matthew Salley of Angleton, Texas; and special friends Louis Wayne Snyder and Sylverene Anderson.

  Graveside services for Floyd Winford Griffin, 83, were held on May 3, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Eastern Gate Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Brown and Rev. Jason officiating. Interment followed after service.
     Mr. Griffin was born December 20, 1923 in Waco, Texas and passed away Monday April 30, 2007. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He resided in Waxahachie for ten years and served as President of the Optimist Club. Formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mr. Griffin moved to Trinity in 1979 after more than 30 years as a Senior Auditor for the Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, fishing on Lake Livingston and his pets.
   Mr. Griffin is preceded in death by a sister Letha Latimar and his parents.
   Survivors include his devoted wife of 61 years Wanda Lee Young Griffin; son Michael Dennis Griffin and wife Evelyn; grandchildren Michelle Denise Griffin, Tonia Kleen and husband Collin, and Pei Sin; neice Sherry Haas and husband Leslie; and nephew Gayland Latimer and wife Barbara.

   A celebration service for Alton Wade “Bubba” Richards, 48, of Trinity, Texas was held Wednesday May2, 2007 in the Waller-Thornton Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gray officiating
  Mr. Richards was born on September 14, 1958 in Houston, Texas and passed away at his residence on April 29, 2007 in Trinity, Texas. He was a member of Lindale Baptist Church of Houston.  Bubba   worked in the oil fields and he was a brilliant handyman. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for an apartment complex for a short time. He was a devoted father and grandfather and brother. He was all about his family and wanted them close by at all times. Bubba has fought the good fight with his illness and he has won the race for eternal life with God.
   He is preceded in death by his father Daniel Lee Richards; step mother Margaret Richards; daughter Jennifer Richards. 
    Survivors include his daughters Ashley Richards, Tiffany Mason and husband Chris, Brittany Richards; grand-children Chloeigh White, Anthony “Andy White, Zayne Mason and Kyah Mason, Daviyn “Alex” Alfaro; sisters Rhonda Murphy and husband Jay, Jeanniene Vick and husband Robert, Ginger Flores and husband Tommy, Tammy Linderman and husband Russell; mother and stepfather Glenda Mae and Willis Dan “Pops”Goodrich; step brothers and sisters Danny Goodrich, Beverly Goodrich, Karen Goodrich, and Sandy Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives

   Funeral services for Dana Linn Hassanpour, 41, were held Friday May 4, 2006 at 11:00 am at Waller-Thornton Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Burden officiating.  Interment followed in the Easter Gate Cemetery.
    Dana was born July 16, 1965 in Houston, Texas and passed away Monday April 30, 2007.. She grew up in Alvin, Texas where she was a member of Alvin Missionary Baptist Church and Bayou Drive Baptist Church where she was baptized.   She graduated from Alvin High School, then graduated from University of Houston/Clear Lake with a biology degree. She worked for Southern Petroleum Labs and Core Laboratory in Houston for many years as a chemist.
  Survivors include her three beloved children Nathan Ryan Linn, age 22, of Huntsville, John David Courtney III, age 12, of Missouri City and Parisa Linn Hassanpour, age 10, of Auburn, Alabama; her parents Joseph and Carolyn Linn of Trinity; brother, Larry Joseph Linn of Houston;  grandmother Girtrue Thompson of Trinity; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
