JOSEPH CALVIN “DEWITT” MESHELL
   Funeral services for Joseph Calvin “Dewitt” Meshell, 70, of Groveton, Texas were held Tuesday November 13, 2007 at 11:00am in the Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating.  Inter-ment followed in the Boontown Cemetery.
   Dewitt was born December 13, 1936 in Noble, Louisiana and passed away Friday November 9, 2007 in Lufkin, Texas. He was affiliated with the Catholic Church and was a rancher.
   He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Meshell and brother Sammie Meshell.
   Survivors include his children Erin and Mary Meshell of Bidwell, Ohio, Renee’ Irby of Groveton, Bruce and Valerie Meshell of Spring, Monique Martinez of Noble, La., Randy and Aleta Meshell of Woodlake, and Stephanie Meshell of Houston; brothers J. C. Meshell and wife Margie of Manning, La., Clayton Meshell and wife Barbara of Splendora, Wayne and Linda Meshell of Trinity; sisters Bleva Jean and Lee Roy LeBlanc of Wakefield and Mary Jane Anderson of Houston; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
