OPAL ARLENE MARSHALL
Funeral services for Opal Arlene Marshall, 82, were held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:00pm at Waller-Thornton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Loftin and Rev. James David Hooper officiating. Burial followed in Trinity Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Marshall was born in Normangee, Texas on July 30, 1927 and passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in Spring, Texas.
Ms. Marshall was the owner/ operator of the Tasty Freeze in Trinity for many years. She was a strong, determined, quick witted, friendly, loving and caring woman. Our lives have been greatly blessed by having her and she will be in our hearts forever.
Preceded in death first husband Alex Roy Blackshear; second husband Arthur Marshall; daughter Sharon Darlene Hayes; grandson Kevin Wayne Warren; and brothers Leroy Reynolds and James Wiley Reynolds, Jr.
Survivors include her children Reynelda Shipper and husband Jack, Billy Wayne Warren, Kathleen McMillan and husband Joe, Lisa Blackshear and special caregiver Michelle Harsany, Pat Vincent and husband Joe Gassy, Susan Trowbridge, Mike Marshall, Cheryl Burns and husband Larry, Charlotte Threat and husband Chuck, Roy B. Allen; grandchildren Michelle and Larry Clopton, Kyle and Hope Warren, Brandon and Phylis Warren, Shea Fowler, Cory McMillan, Melanie and Brandon Loftin, Ashley & John Moorley, Kyle and Tanya Sullivan, Blake Vincent, Christopher Fogg, Deanna Fogg, Scott Conner, Bonnie Allen, Shane Marshall, Alex Trowbridge; twenty five great-grandchildren; sister Frances Reynolds Hooper; and numerous other relatives and friends.

WILTON CARROLL “BOOTS” HARRIS
Funeral services for Wilton Carroll “Boots” Harris was held Sunday August 30, 2009 at 3:00pm at Groveton Church of Christ with Minister Rodney Langley officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park in Wharton, Texas.
Boots was born on September 2, 1927 in Streetman, Texas and passed away Friday August 28, 2009 in Lufkin, Texas.
Boots served his country in the US Army during WWII. He retired from Texas Gulf Sulphur Co. after working more than 25 years as a painter. He moved to Groveton, Texas and was a member of Groveton Church of Christ. He was a very tender, kind and giving man. He touched many people with his gentle heart. We are very blessed that God gave him to us for a short time.
Wife Gloria Harris and son Danney Harris precede Boots in death.
Survivors include his son Jimmey Carroll Harris and wife Terrie; grandchildren Jeremy Carroll Harris and wife Deedra, Jolie Anne, Taylor and husband Keith, Joshua Carroll Harris and wife Jennifer, Courtney Harris, Tiffany Chiligiris & husband Kostaki, and Cody Joe Harris; great-grandchildren Michael Keith Taylor, Scottie Keith Taylor, Lyndi Renee Harris, Justin “Bucky” Carroll Harris, Jonathan Carroll Harris, Steven Carroll Harris, Jake Thomas Harris, and Nolan Grace Harris; brother Jerry Harris and wife Ginger; sister-in-law Eunice Mae Miano; and devoted friend and caregivers Frances Worsham and her immediate family members.

KELLY ROCHELLE ANDERSON
A celebration of life for Kelly Rochelle Anderson was held Tuesday September 1, 2009 at 2:00pm at Waller-Thornton Funeral Home with Rev. Guy Hargrave officiating. Burial followed in Clapp Cemetery.
Kelly slipped into the arms of Jesus Saturday August 29, 2009. She was born June 28, 1966 in Houston, Texas and passed away in Crystal Beach, Texas.
Kelly leaves to cherish her memories her husband William Vick; children Amanda Anderson and Nick Bowlen as well as three grandchildren Kaytlyn Williamson, Aryan Johnson and Dustyn Johnson; mother and her “Pops” Beverly and Billy Knight; father and step-mother Larry and Adrianna Clemmons; brothers Danny, Jason, and Jeremy Clemmons, and Frank Booth; and numerous other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.

WAYNE EDWARD REDDEN
Funeral services for Wayne Edward Redden, 63, of Nacogdoches were held Wednesday September 2, 2009 at 11:00am at Laird Funeral Home Chapel, Nacogdoches, Texas with Bro. David Coleman officiating. Burial followed in New Church Cemetery in Apple Springs.
Wayne was born in Groveton, Texas on February 8, 1946, the son of the late Frank Edward and Kattie Belle (Patterson) Redden and passed away Sunday August 30, 2009 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and was a self-employed logger. During his lifetime, Wayne was known as a talented knife maker. He and Geneva Ann Rhoudes were married July 30, 1966 and were married almost 41 years before she passed away May 30, 2007.
In addition to his parents, and wife, Geneva Ann; Wayne was preceded in death by a daughter, Waine Lea Redden; sisters, Billie West, Mickiann Redden and Johnnie B. Redden
Survivors include his two daughters Paula K. Redden of Nacogdoches and Jean Wright and husband, Jimmy of Lufkin, Texas; four grandchildren Kim, Jennifer, John, and Faith Marie; seven great grandchildren; three sisters Wanda L. Cooper and husband, Thomas of Stigler, Oklahoma, Robbie E. Duff and husband, James of Lufkin, Texas, and Mary H. Aaron of Nacogdoches; two brothers, Edgar A. West of Groveton, Texas and Robert J. Rhoudes of Bridgeport, Texas; two aunts, Marie Kennedy of Woodlake, Texas and Geneva Redden of Goodrich, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Hollie Evalyn Casper Landrum, 67, of Apple Springs were held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:00pm at Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Valance officiating. Interment followed in the Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Landrum was born February 23, 1942 in Nacogdoches, Texas and passed away Wednesday August 26, 2009 in Lufkin. She was a nurse for Memorial Health Systems of East Texas, affiliated with the Calvary Temple Assembly of God, Groveton Nurses Auxiliary, and Memorial Health Systems of East Texas Volunteer.
Pallbearers were Todd Graham, Shelby Patton, Bo Branton, William Landrum, Michael Eddins, and Tyler Griggs.
Survivors include her son Jack Allen Landrum, Jr. and Linda Kowis of Apple Springs, Texas; son and daughter in law Hollis and Jacqui Landrum of Apple Springs; brother Jack McBroom; sisters Patricia Ann Dempsey, Anita Jean Eddins, and Eula “Crickett” Wages all of Woden, Texas; three grandchildren Tyler Griggs, Tate and Tobyn Landrum of Apple Springs; and numerous other relatives and friends.

DONALD LESLIE BRIZENDINE, SR.
Funeral services for Donald Leslie Brizendine, Sr., 76, of Helmic Community-Apple Springs were held Saturday August 29, 2009 at 10:00am at Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Nimmons and Bro. Barbie officiating. Interment followed in the Bennett Cemetery.
Mr. Brizendine was born April 11, 1933 in DeQueen, Arkansas and passed away in Helmic-Apple Springs, Texas. He was a salesman for an Upholstery Manufacturer and was affiliate with Apple Springs Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Bubba Brown, Alvin Brown, Bert Brown, Terry Hightower, Steve Mueller, and Bobby Eden.
Survivors include his wife Grace LeNell Holcombe of Apple Springs; daughter and son in law Darla Bena and Terry Wayne Reich of Spring, Texas; daughter Sharon Nell Parnell of Conroe; son Donald Leslie Brizendine, Jr.; daughter Julie Centers; eight grandchildren Randolph Mason Parnell, Gerried, Shannon Nicole and Joseph Brizendine, Darla Beth and Billie Jo; step grandchildren Brandon Reich and Heather Reich Howe; and numerous other relatives and friends.
