Michael Ray Brown, 44, of Hull, died on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at his residence. A native of Baytown, he had lived in Hull for 20 years and was an innworker with Altair Strickland.Survivors include his mother, Susan Brown of Baytown; his life partner, Greg Votaw of Hull; brothers, James Votaw and Curtis Brown, both of Old River, Steven Brown of Baytown and Walter Brown of Louisiana.Cremation services were held under the direction of Faith and Family Services, Batson.

A graveside service for Gloria Lee Cox, 79, of Liberty, were held Thursday, June 5, 2008, at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Ayers Jr. officiating, in Wells Memorial Cemetery, Liberty.
A native of Fort Worth, she was a retired educator with the Liberty Independent School District.
She passed away on Monday, June 2, at her residence after an illness.
Survivors include her husband, Professor Elihue L. Cox of Liberty; one son, Charles Richardson of Grand Prairie; and one daughter, Syble Thomas of Stockton, California.

A memorial service for Cecil Raymond Dale, 73, of Shepherd, was held on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sam Steele officiating. Interment was in Shepherd.
He was one of nine children born to Ruth and Charles Dale of Middlefield, Ohio.
Cecil served his country with the United States Marine Corps, from 1953-56, with Company A, 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division, in Guadalcanal during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Trumball County Marine Corps League Rifle Club – DET 958. Cecil was an avid reader and hunter. He followed the USMC Code of Conduct “Semper Fi.”
He passed away on Wednesday, May 28, at his home in Shepherd. His parents, Charles and Ruth; sisters, Lottie Kuzmael and Laverne Miller; and brothers, Glen Dale and Elvin “Bud” Dale, preceded him in death.
He leaves his memories to daughters, Sherrill Beasley and husband, Michael, of Willoughby, Robin DiSanto and husband, Tim Sykes, of Norton, Tracey Dale-Reeves and husband, Timothy, of Shepherd and Jennifer Dickerson and husband, Gary, of Houston; grandchildren, Stacie Kiggins of Arkansas, Shawn Duck, David Krebbs, A.J. A gathering of family and friends of Duane Dillard, 66, of Coldspring, was held on Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Lake Ravne Lodge in the wooded serenity of Huntsville State Park, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
He was born July 17, 1941 in Ball, Louisiana, to Estelle “Woody” and Theilbert A. Dillard (Monk). He owned and operated Dillard’s Machine Shop in Coldspring.
He passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Conroe Regional Hospital. His father, T.A. Dillard; brother, John “Sonny” Dillard; mother, Estelle “Monk” Dillard; and daughter, Donna Michelle “Mike” Dillard, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Alva “Cissie” Dillard; daughter, Teresa Dillard of Spring; stepdaughter, Samantha Walthall of Coldspring; sister, June Meyers of Toronto, Ohio; brothers, Timmy Dillard of Tioga, Louisiana and Chip Dillard of Harrison, Arkansas; brother in spirit, L.K. Stuart; and very special grandson, Adrian Dillard.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. for Estella M. Edwards, 59, of Liberty, with the Rev. Mike Glazener officiating, at Cornerstone Church in Liberty. Burial was in Lone Bluff Cemetery, Moss Bluff, Texas.
A native of Liberty, she was a health care provider and business professional. A graduate of West Liberty High School, she received her business certification from Prairie View A&M University at Liberty. she was a member of Cornerstone Church in Liberty.
She passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Kindred Hospital, Houston, after an illness.
Survivors include her mother, Eunice Lee Redmon of Liberty; four sons, Zachary Rollins of Dayton, Percy Arceneaux of Alexandria, Louisiana, Trent Arceneaux of Baytown and Terry Arceneaux of Houston; one daughter, Dr. Cassandra Arceneaux of Webster; two sisters, Rose Mary Braxton and Carolyn Victorian, both of Liberty; one brother, the Rev. Lula Jane Graham, 89, of Coldspring, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
She was born in Palacious, Texas on September 12, 1918, the daughter of Emitt H. and Elise Jane Linton.
Lula Graham was affectionately known to all as “Mama Lou”.
Survivors include two nephews, Gerald L. Christian and L.E. Christian; and two nieces, Joyce Henson and Daurece Cox. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched, including members of her extended family, “The McDaniels”, “The Casas”, “The Morales”, “The Marlinezs”, “The Phillips”, “The Trevinos” and most importantly, Bryan Hilton.

A service of remembrance was held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 for Hannah Faye Hickman Teel, 67, of Port Arthur, Texas, at Allison Funeral Service Chapel, Liberty. Interment followed in Guedry Cemetery, Batson.
She was born July 28, 1940, the daughter of Ed and Lena Hickman in Batson Prairie, Texas.
Hannah will be remembered for her love of singing. She loved spending time with her family and friends but most of all playing with her great grandbabies.
Hannah retired from Hull Freshwater Supply as a manager after more than 20 years of service. She will be deeply missed by all her knew her.
She passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008. Her parents; her brother, Sonny Hickman; and granddaughter, Callie Rose Wallace, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Susie Tullis and husband, Franklin, of Groves; sister, Sissie Deckert of Hull; brother, Lloyd Hickman and wife, Norma Faye, of Kilgore; sister, Nadine Cook of Batson Prairie; granddaughters, Noel Wallace and lacy Wallace; great-grandchildren, Harley Rose and James Edward; and her beloved Chihuahua, Peabody.
