BARNES
Henrietta Eileen Williams Barnes was born on April 7, 1925 in Winedale, Texas to William Andrew and Emma Witte Williams. Eileen was baptized, confi rmed and married in the Greenvine Lutheran Church, Greenvine, Texas. The fi fth child and only daughter of a pioneering Texas family, Mrs. Barnes roots began in Washington County and remained in Texas throughout her life. S u r v i v e d by her loving husband of 61 years, Thomas W. Barnes, and d a u g h t e r s , Debra Barnes Otis, son-inlaw, William Steven Otis, granddaughter, Katherine Eileen and daughter, Sherri Eileen Barnes, son-in-law, Daniel Barnes and granddaughter, Caroline Marie, daughter-in-law, Kaye Nugent Barnes, granddaughters, Elizabeth Eileen and Sarah Nugent. Other loved and surviving family members include Estha Williams of Port Lavaca, Texas, Ruth Williams of LaGrange, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Eileen was her beloved parents, brothers, Olaf Williams, Rudolph “Noonie” Williams, Arnold Williams, sister-in-laws, Mildred Williams, Alida Williams and son, Thomas W. Barnes Jr. Eileen Williams and Thomas Barnes were married on October 12, 1947 at Greenvine, Texas. Settling in Houston, Texas, Eileen was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Retiring in 1988, Tom and Eileen enjoyed their Lake Livingston home in Coldspring, Texas. Eileen’s greatest legacy was her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Funeral services were held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Houston, Texas, Monday, December 1, 2008, 11:00 a.m., with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were son-in-laws, Steve Otis, Daniel Barnes, nephews, Arvin Williams, Stanley Williams, Newton Williams and Michael Eubanks. In lieu of fl owers, contributions were made to the American Heart Association and/or the National Cancer Society.

LEONARD
Daveleen Carolyn “Bit” Leonard, age 50, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008. She was born November 18, 1958 in Houston, Texas. Memorial services were held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances German Brock; brother, James Crosby. Survivors include her father, James W. German; sons, John Christian Alford, Jeremy Andrew Alford; sisters, Debbie Ward; niece and nephews, Sarah Ward, Steven Ward, and Matthew Moore with numerous other treasured family members and a host of faithful friends beyond measure.

LILLEY
Avis Maxine Lilley, age 81, of Livingston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008. She was born in Coldspring, Texas on May 24, 1927 to Robert and Louise Jeffcoat. Graveside services were held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 28, 2008 at Magnolia Cemetery, Evergreen, Texas. Survivors include her sons, Chester Lilley and wife, Linda, Ron Lilley and wife, Bobbie, Tony Lilley and wife, Angela; daughters, Karen Shannon and husband, Raymond, Dorothy Turbeville; grandchildren, Richard Lilley and wife, Lynette, Ben Lilley, Veronica Saliee and husband, Clyde, Tugles Parker and husband, Dan, Sonya White and husband, Hoss,Gary Ferrell Jr. and wife, Allie, Pamela Bellew, Matthew Turbeville, Samantha Turbeville; great-grandchildren, Ariel Turner and husband, Bruce, Andrew Lilley, Marilyn Saliee, Jessica Parker, Bailey Parker, Ryan White, Aaron White, Samantha Bellew; greatgreat- grandchildren, Shane Turner with numerous other cherished family members and friends.

SCHAUMLEFFEL
Ray Jefferson Schaumleffel, age 81, of Point Blank, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008. He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 25, 1927 to Thomas Jefferson and Alice Lucy Schaumleffel who preceded him in death along with his adoptive parents, Lem G. and Clara Bell Calhoun. He is also preceded by a brother, Hershel Schaumleffel. Survivors include his loving wife, Fuki Schaumleffel; son, Rex Schaumleffel; daught e r - i n - l a w, K i m i k o Schaumleffel; sister, Irene Walge and husband, Tom; brothers, Charles P. and Gene Calhoun. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Reina, Rachel, and Raymond Schaumleffel. Cousin, Clara Lee Wallingford; nieces and nephews are Steve, Scott, Shay, and Jason Calhoun, Joseph A. Walge, Sharla Gonzalez, Sue Hornor, Sally Limp, Sharon Van Allen, Cherise and Allison Calhoun. A partial list of Grand nieces and nephews are Rachael, Kyle, Cade, Tristan Calhoun, Charles and Colby Gonzalez, Julianna Gomez; and special companion, Maria Schaumleffel and numerous other treasured family members and faithful friends beyond measure. Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Joan Bal ant Center Hill Cemetery, Oakhurst, Texas, 2:00 p.m., Thursday December 4, 2008.
