Alva Douglas (Doug) Aden passed away on March 16, 2008. He was born April 14, 1933 to Thomas and Anna May Aden. He was married to Jeanie for 21 years. He was the father to four children and one loving step-daughter. He has eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, hundreds of clients and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and sister. Aden owned a tax accounting business since 1969. He served the community and county on numerous boards and organizations. Visitation was held at the Brooke Funeral Home in Huntsville on Wed., March 19th from 6 – 9 p.m.. A memorial services will be held Thursday, March 20, at 1 p.m. at Pointblank First Baptist Church on Hwy 190. Pastor Mickey Fountain will officiate. Interment will be at the Center Hill Cemetery, no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association.

Ronal E. Batten, 83, of Buda, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008. He was born in Maydelle, Texas on April 24, 1924 to William Jennings Batten and Rhoda Ophelia Batten who preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, Ronal Batten, Jr. and wife, Pamela, David J. Batten and wife, Karen; sister, Dorthy Dunn; brothers, W.J. Batten; grandchildren, Matthew Batten and Megan Batten; and numerous other loving family members and friends beyond measure. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Plum Grove, Cleveland, Texas.


Donald William Squier, 57, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008. He was born in Cleveland, Texas on July 26, 1950 to William and Mildred Squier. He is preceded in death by his father, William Squier; grandparents, Clifton and Idell Squier and Ed and Jewel Enloe. Survivors include Amber Carole Dovall Wells Squier; parents, Mildred and Earl Brown; daughter, Shelley Reneé Squier- Baker and husband, Richard; son Eric Clifton Squier and wife, Brandy; sisters, Nancy Gayle Helmcamp and husband, Terry, Rhonda Faye Howell and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Erica Lynn Squier, Breck Avery Squier, Cayde Austin Squier; nephews, Jonathan Helmcamp, Jeff Helmcamp, Randall Helmcamp; niece, Jennifer Howell; and so many other loving and caring family members and treasured friends beyond measure. Memorial services were held Sunday, March 16, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Rural Shade Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas.
