Mary Catherine Donnan Beeson, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008.  Mary was born in Port Aransas, Texas and graduated from Ball High School in Galveston, Texas.  She attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University.  Mary received her Masters Degree from the University of Houston.  She taught school in Shepherd and Cleveland Schools for over 30 years.
She is survived by her sons, Richard R. Beeson and John D. Beeson, their wives, Anna Brace Beeson and Margie Freeze Beeson.  Her brother and his wife, David Heath and Jimmie Donnan.  Jim Donnan of Center, Texas spent his high school days living with Mary and John.  Her grandchildren, Laura, Bruce, Robert, Catherine, Ellen, Merajen, Dennis, and Larry; great-grandchildren, Chad, Jason, Tiffany, Bruce Jr., Caleb, Brent, McKinna, Breeland, Weston, Conner, Greg, Melissa, Ari, and Zoe; great-great-grandchildren, Landan, Faith, Veronica, and Monica.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Reagan Beeson, Jr.; they resided in Shepherd, Texas.  Mary had a good life and is fondly remembered by many of her family, students, friends and associates.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 29, 2008 2:00 p.m. at the Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.

Marian Virginia Pace, passed away, Monday, February 25, 2008.  She was born in Pittsburg, Texas on October 18, 1925 to Elvis and Julia Brown. Marian graduated from Pittsburg High School and attended Tyler Business School in Tyler, Texas.  Marian later moved to Coldspring, Texas where she worked for the local Abstract Company until marrying Carey Patrick Pace from Livingston, Texas. Pat and Marian were married on July 3, 1952 in Quantico, Virginia while Pat was serving with the U.S. Marines. After serving his country, Pat and Marian returned to Livingston where they worked in the family funeral business. From 1956 to 1990, Marian and Pat owned and operated Pace Funeral Home in Kountze, Texas.  Both were active community members. Marian served as PTA President and was president of the Kountze Professional Women’s Association.  Upon retirement, they moved to Kingwood, Texas, where Marian enjoyed the outdoors, photography, and gardening.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Patrick Pace, parents, Julia Harris Brown and Elvis Brown, brother, Leon Brown.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Pace, Tina Beddow and husband, John Beddow, granddaughter, Leslie Garrett and husband, Jeremy Garrett, faithful dog and companion ButterBear. Other surviving family members include first cousins Nancy Harris Acciarito, Edith Harris Kennedy, nephew Larry Brown, second cousins, Cathy Acciarito Williams and Suzanne Kennedy Shields. Other survivors include Perry Pace III, Terry Pace, Jerry Pace, and Glen and Barbara Toler.
Funeral services were held on February 28, 2008 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, with graveside service following at 11 a.m., Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Rosehill Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. 
The family wants to extend their gratitude to the many wonderful nurses, support staff, and doctors of the Houston Medical Center Hospice.  Their wonderful, gentle care to Marian in her final days provided much comfort and solace to the family during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77030-4123 or http://www.houstonhospice.org/donations.
