Mary Margaret Bailes, age 81, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009. She was born in Cleveland, Texas on December 23, 1928 to Tib and Blanch Gilbert who preceded her in death along with her husband, Ernest James Bailes Jr.; g r a n d s o n , S t a n l e y S h r a d e r ; granddaughter, Kathryn Bailes; and her brother, Gene Gilbert. Survivors include her daughters, J e a n n e t t e Bullock and husband, Homer, Annette Engle and husband, Mike; son, E.J. Bailes III and wife, Susan; brothers, Homer Gilbert, Lyndon Gilbert, and Kenneth Gilbert; grandchildren, Leon Engle, Paul Engle, Lee Engle, G.W. Engle, Stephanie Lilley, Charles Bullock III, Clint Bullock, Kimberly Wunderlich, Ernest Bailes IV, and Kari Bailes; great-granddaughters, Allison Shrader, Sara Engle, Desirae Bullock, Caitlyn Bullock, and Rylee Wunderlich; great-grandsons, James Engle, Michael Engle, Hayden Engle, Bryant Engle, Mark Engle, Shannon and Zachary Todd, Michael Lilley, Douglas Lilley, Colton Lilley, Justin Shrader, C.B. Bullock IV, Caden Bullock, Ernest J. Bailes V, Dylan Wunderloch and two more great-grandsons on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and caring friends beyond measure. Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Shepherd, Texas with interment at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.
