Autry Allen Nelson, age 69, of Conroe, Texas, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at Triumph Northwest Hospital in Houston. He was born in Livingston, Texas on November 16, 1939 to Dewey and Ruby Nelson who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Adell Nelson; two daughters, Sherry Owens and husband, David; Brenda Buchanan and husband, Brent; four sons, Roy Nelson and wife, Jana, Joe Nelson and wife, Vicki, Benny Law and wife, Carol, Buddy Ridings and wife, Debra; two sisters, Margaret Phillips and husband, David, Alice Baxley; two brothers, Ray Nelson and wife, Carolynn, Gene Nelson and wife, Juanita; ten grandkids and eleven great-grandkids with many other cherished family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Funeral services were held Monday, February 23, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers, Roy Nelson, B.J. White, Benny Law, Bobby Joe Ridings, Brent Buchanan, Brian White, and Clint Griswold escorted him to his final resting place at Peebles Cemetery, Goodrich, Texas
