Mary Edith Broussard, 88, of Livingston died on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Funeral services were held Sat-urday, July 5, in the Cochran Fu-neral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Owens offi ciating. Burial fol-lowed in Brookside Cemetery in Houston. Mrs. Broussard was born on Sept. 24, 1919 in Madisonville, to parents Ethel and Lillian May Singletary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C.D. “Bruce” Broussard and her brother, Jimmy Lee Singletary. Survivors include her daughters, Bobbie Jean Wingate and her husband Jake of Iola and Jeri Stanfi eld and her husband Earl of Cleveland; granddaughter, Stacie Wright and husband Robert of Virginia; grandsons, Vance Stanfi eld of Cleveland, Scott Wingate of Iola and Brandon Stanfi eld of Cleveland; great-grandson, Joshua Wright of Vir-ginia; great-granddaughter, Brynna Wright of Virginia; brother and sister-inlaw, Herman and Nancy Singletary of Illinois; sister, Mar-gret Powell of Houston; special friend, Edna Walker of Livingston and numerous other friends. Pallbearers were Vance Stanfi eld, Brandon Stanfi eld, Scott Wingate, Bobby Hasty, Jerry Hal-ford and David Riggs. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Betty Caroline Clark Cryer was born October 17, 1935 in Livingston, Texas, to Carl and Lorrain Clark and passed away July 1, 2008 in Huntsville. Betty graduated from Livingston High School and then attended Sam Houston State Teachers College, earning her Bachelors degree in Home Economics Education. She taught School for 39 years with 28 of those years at Huntsville High School. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband Jed Cryer Sr. whom she married on May 26, 1956 in Livingston. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jed and Susan Cryer of Huntsville, her two grandchildren; Cody and Kelsey, and her sister and husband Janis and Ben Ogletree of Livingston and their family. Betty was a loving caring person with a heart of gold. Her love for the Lord and her willingness to serve made her a wonderful Christian role model for everyone. She loved her family and her close circle of friends who she hosted most every Friday night for dominoes and cards. Services were held Thursday July 3, 2008 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Reagan Cooksey offi ciating. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery in San Jacinto County. Michael “Mike” D. Sutton, age 65, of Willis, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008. He was born in Tonasket, Washington on January 4, 2008 to Wesley Lee and Kay Sutton who preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife, Irene Sutton; mother, Kay Sutton; daughters, Tamara Clement and Ginny Sutton; sons, Eric Caauwe, Heiko Schmitt, Fritz Sutton, Perry Sutton, and Jerry Sutton; sister, Sharon Cox; brother, Steve Sutton; grandchildren, Selina Clement, Danny Sutton, Jennifer Sutton, Virginia Sutton, Jacob McClellan, and Klara Schmitt; along with so many other loving family members and caring friends. Memorial services were held Saturday, July 5, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment of ashes will be at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
