CARTER
Doris Lorraine Carter, 78, of Shepherd, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007.  She was born in Groveton, on July 24, 1928 to Tom and Ruth Carter.
She is survived by her nephew, James Dudley Carter; nieces, Patricia Dillon, Shannon Matthews, Lorrie Mussett and Carmen Rodgers.
Graveside service was held February 25, 2007 at Peebles Cemetery, Goodrich.

IVEY
Oscar Lee Ivey III, 53, of Coldspring passed away, Monday, February 19, 2007.  He was born in Houston on August 30, 1953.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lee Ivey, Jr. and Annie Holder; grandparents, Oscar Lee Ivey, Sr. and Minnie Ivey, Henry and Anna Holder; numerous aunts, uncles and two great-nieces.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Bellinger; daughters, Holly and Freddy Romero, Amanda McNorton and Dana; son, Oscar Lee Ivey, IV and wife, Kolicia; brothers, Gary Ivey and wife, Luanne, Larry and Darlene Ivey, Henry Ivey; grandchildren, Phillip Romero, Ayana Chavis, Elijah; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and other family members and friends.
Memorial services were held February 22, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel Coldspring.  Rev. Glen Little conducted the service with interment at Old Waverly Cemetery.

CHAPMAN
Doris Jeanette Chapman, 83, of Coldspring, passed away, Saturday, February 17, 2007.  She was born in Ft. Wayne, Ind. on June 8, 1923 to Frank and Lydia Pappert.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon McNabb; sons, James Holloman, Alan Holloman, Rick Holloman and Robert Holloman; sisters, Joan Wachner and Arial Hanie; grandchildren, Tracy Holloman, Steven Holloman, Joseph Holloman, Tony Holloman, Craig Holloman, Greg Holloman, Brian McNabb, Christopher Holloman; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held February 20, 2007 at Coldspring United Methodist Church, Coldspring, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Coldspring.

MATLOCK
James Monroe “Pete” Matlock, 70, of Lufkin, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007.  He was born in Caro, Texas on August 26, 1936 to Jack and Mattie Eva Matlock.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Matlock; sisters, Ima Pickard, Freddie Keefer and Nancy Matlock; brother Bill Matlock.
He is survived by his fie, Velda Faye Matlock; children, Manuel Dueane Matlock, Eva Marie Casarez and husband, James, Cynthie Briske and husband, Joseph, James Wesley Matlock and wife, Earlene, Jerry Williams and wife, Sandra, Emily Langston and husband Gordon; sister, Zora Crawford; grandchildren, Charity Ann, James Anthony, MaryAnn, James Monroe, Ethan Duane, Jessica, Megan, Levi, Kali, Ashley, Lexie and Zoe; great-grandchildren, Aexis Marie, Dominik and Izabella Rose; and a host of family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland.  Rev. Bobby Crawford will conduct the service with interment following at Magnolia Cemetery, Evergreen.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. both days.
Pace-Stancil Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

SANDERS

Delbert E. “Doug” Sanders, 63, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007.  He was born in Pratt, Kansas on June 18, 1943 to Delbert Earl and Virginia Mae Sanders, Sr.
He was Church of Christ in faith and was a resident of the Cleveland area for some 33 years.  He served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  Doug was well known and liked around the community, he will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Earl Sanders, Sr.; mother, Virginia Clements; and daughter, Twania Oliver.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Sanders; daughters, Penny Hubbard and Ashley Sanders; son, Cody Sanders and wife, Amanda; sisters, Linda Tweedy and Judy Peck; brother, Roger Sanders; grandchildren, Chandler Sanders, Amber Sanders,  Kyra Maddox and Kristi Sanders; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles; and other family members and friends.
Bro. Gary Shiflet conducted funeral services on February 28, at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
