Gloria Sue Cook
GROVETON – Services for Gloria Sue Cook, 64, of Porter were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Willis officiating.
Burial followed in the Davis Cemetery in Grapeland.
Mrs. Cook died Sunday, April 12, in Porter.
She was born Feb. 23, 1945, in Groveton and was a homemaker. She was a member of the New Caney Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Gale Cook of Porter; a daughter and her spouse, Dawn Renee and Scott Adrian Alexander; her mother, Thelma Lois Nichols; two brothrs, Robert Wayne Nichols and Gary Wilford Nichols; a grandson, Jesse Adrian Alexander; and a granddaughter, Skylar Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Susan B. Coleman Foundation (American Cancer Society).
Groveton Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Morris Paton Kelly
GROVETON – Memorial services for Morris Paton Kelly, 75, of the Polk County community of Moscow were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, in the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating.
Mr. Kelly died Monday, April 13, in Lufkin.
He was born Jan. 16, 1934 and was a retired security guard.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Kelly; a son and his spouse, Bobby Jo and Dorthy Kelly of Groveton; 12 grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren, Richard Goins of Kirbyville and Buck Goins of Livingston.
Groveton Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
