Hazel Ruth Barnett
TRINITY – Services for Hazel Ruth Barnett, 79, of Trinity were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in the Lakeway Baptist Church with the Rev. Martin officiating.
Burial followed in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnett died Saturday, Dec. 1, in Conroe.
She was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Sacul and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clell Barnett; her parents, Dewy and Vera Lloyd; three sisters, Dorothy, Margie and Melba; and two brothers, Carrol Lloyd and Dewey Lloyd.
Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Tommy and Laurie Barnett and Ronnie and Judy Barnett; a sister and her spouse, June and Jams Watters; five grandchildren, Jason, Virginia, Elizabeth, Joshua and Jeremy; and five great-grandchildren, Ali, Ashlyn, Aiden, Will and Austin.
Trinity Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Billy Davis Lovell
TRINITY – A memorial service for Billy Davis Lovell, 70, of Trinity was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at the Trinity Funeral Home with the Rev. James Golden and the Rev. Robert Davis officiating.
Cremation followed.
Mr. Lovell died Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Houston following an illness.
He was born May 26, 1937, in Center and was an owner-operator of Billy and Marie’s Pawn Shop in Trinity.
Mr. Lovell was preceded in death by his father, Beaman Lovell, and a son, Billy Don Lovell.
Survivors included his wife, Marie Lovell of Trinity; his mother, Bill Gates; a son, Brian Dean Lovell; two step-sons, Ricky Myers and Scott Myers; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Trinity Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Floyd Edward ‘Bo’ Magee
TRINITY – Services for Floyd Edward “Bo” Magee, 74, of Houston were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the Glendale Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the Thornton Cemetery.
Mr. Magee died Friday, Nov.30, in Houston.
He was born Jan. 22, 1933, in the Saron community of Trinity County and was employed in Houston as a press operator.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Magee; four children and their spouses, Joyce and Roy Granberry, Eddie Magee, Janice and Greg Stock and Mary and John Burdyski; two brothers, George Magee and Banks Magee; and eight grandchildren, Empire, Venessa, Ben, Monica, Steven, Taylor, Sabrina and Zack.
Pallbearers included Empire Granberry, J.D. Wallace, Greg Stock, Justin Hunter, Ben McRill, Billy Anderson and Tim Anderson.
Trinity Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Leslie G. Parker
CROCKETT – Services for Leslie G. Parker, 85, of Lovelady were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, in the Weldon Baptist Church with the Rev. C.F. Hazelwood and the Rev. Reggie Gregory officiating.
Military graveside services followed in the Weldon Cemetery.
Mr. Parker died Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 30, 1922, in Weldon and was a lifetime resident of the Lovelady area. Mr. Parker was a retired rancher and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy as an armed guard aboard merchant ships.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He also has been a member of the Weldon Baptist Church since 1956.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Nona Parker; six brothers, Clarence, Ovie Lee, Jack, Hunter, Dick and George; a sister, Inez Parker; and a son-in-law, Bill Freeman.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margaret Jordan Parker of Lovelady; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon Freeman of Lovelady and Paula and Larry Waller of Ben Arnold; a sister, Pauline Evans of Lovelady; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Parker of Lovelady and Bobbie Penny of Conroe; four grandchildren and their spouses, Lacy and Andrea Freeman of Buffalo, Doug and Tammy Freeman of Lovelady, Kelly Waller of Mexia and Wendy and Layne Stone of Temple; 10 great-grandchildren, Brandi, Tiffany, Jacob, Leslie, Logan, Natalie, Lily, Lane, Addison and Sadie; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Weldon Cemetery Association, Rt. 2, Box 211D, Lovelady, Texas 75851, the Weldon Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Callaway-Allee Funeral Home of Crockett directed the arrangements.
