Syble Bearden
JACKSONVILLE – Services for Syble Bearden, 90, of Jacksonville were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Bro. Phillip Warren officiating.
Burial followed at Corine Cemetery.
Mrs. Bearden died Saturday, June 21, in Jacksonville.
She was born March 18, 1918, in Dialville, the daughter of Horace S. McCallum and Lena L. Stephens McCallum. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Jacksonville and was formerly employed at Marja Brassiere Co. in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Bearden was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Chitwood and Frances Chancellor; and two brothers, Pete McCallum and Carl McCallum.
Survivors include her husband, Elvis Bearden of Jacksonville; a daughter, Jennifer Bearden of Trinity; special friend, Dennis Johnson of Trinity; two grandchildren, Amanda Reid of Rusk and Michael Bivens of Trinity; several great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Johnny Chitwood, Tony Chancellor, Butch Orme, Randy Orme, Michael Bivens and Junior Loya.
Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville directed the arrangements.

Irene Miller Lane
GROVETON – Services for Irene Miller Lane, 85, of Corrigan were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, in the Glendale Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Campbell officiating.
Burial followed in the Thornton Cemetery.
Mrs. Lane died Tuesday, July 1, in Lufkin.
She was born May 30, 1923, in the Carmona Community in Polk County and was a former resident of Glendale in Trinity County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Glendale Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Lane, two brothers, Howard Miller and Everett Miller; and two sisters, Eva Atkinson and Aillene Law.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Oller of Rochester, N.Y. and Beck Sanders of Corrigan; two sons, Melvin Redden and Sammy Lane, both of Glendale; a step-daughter, Mary Belle Luce of Grapeland; a brother, Autry B. Miller of Friday; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers included Johnny Fussell, Mitch Friday, Billy Songbird, Bill Allen, Roland Popham, Tim Locke and Derrick Knott.
Groveton Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Billy Eugene Trero
CONROE – Services for Billy Eugene Trero, 28, of Montgomery were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the Metcalf Funeral Directors Chapel in Conroe with Bro. Bobby Chenault officiating.
Burial followed in the Garden Park Cemetery.
Mr. Trero died Friday, July 4.
He was born Jan. 15, 1980, in Houston, the son of Maxie Trero and Terry Lynn Hill Trero. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary, in 2005.
Survivors include his mother, Terry Lynn Trero of Montgomery; his father and step-mother, Maxie and Mary Ann Trero of Conroe; a daughter, Brookelynn Elizabeth Trero of Conroe; three sisters and their spouses, Peggy and Steve Goetz of Huntsville, Barbara Ann Trero of Glendale, Ariz., and Ramona and David Isabel of Birmingham, Ala.; four brothers and their spouses, David and Amy Trero of Montgomery, Bobby Trero and his fiancée, Jodie, of Willis, Stacy Alvin Trero of Beaumont, and Tony Trero of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a grandmother, Margie Weaver; a nephew and best friend, B.J. Trero; a sister-in-law, Terri Trero; and a number of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers include B.J. Trero, Greg Trero, Jason Trero, Devin Trero, Jacob Butler and Landon DeFoor. Honorary pallbearers included Ivan Vela and Alfredo Salina.
Metcalf Funeral Directors of Conroe directed the arrangements.
