Ann Doyle Fussell

ROVETON – Services for Ann Doyle Fussell, 74, of Katy were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Groveton Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Zion Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Fussell died Wednesday, June 25, in Katy.
She was born Oct. 14, 1933, in Trinity County and was employed as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a former resident of Lufkin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Doyle and Daisy Ridley Doyle; three brothers, Howard Doyle, Ridley Doyle and William Herbert Doyle; and a sister, Margaret Witt.
Survivors include her husband, Truman E. Fussell of Lufkin; two daughters and a son-in-law, Johnny and Barbara Stott of Lufkin; and Kelley Beard of Katy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolyn Tsikas of Groveton and Barbara and David Bailey of Houston; three brothers and their spouses, Charles K. and Novis Doyle of Huntington, Norman W. Doyle of Groveton and James and Amanda Doyle of Groveton; five grandchildren, Sarah, Aaron, Jared, Sasmine and Junko; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Emma Kate, Kadence, Jessica and Jacques; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Groveton Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Alberta Thompson Jennings
GROVETON – Services for Alberta Thompson Jennings, 87, of Trinity were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in the Burning Hope Baptist Church in Trinity with Bro. Jim Parrish officiating.
Burial followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Jennings died Friday, June 27, in Trinity.
She was born Oct. 30, 1920, in Trinity County and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Burning Hope Baptist Church of Trinity.
Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Thompson and Mary Della Standley Thompson; her husband, Kent Jennings; a daughter, Sally Hopkins; and two brothers, Howard Thompson and Woodrow Thompson.
Survivors include four daughters and their spouses, Patricia Dale and A. Jay Riddle of Trinity, Juanice and Fred Czajka of Austin, Bettie Walker of Trinity and Cheryl Whited of Trinity; two sisters, Bessie Tullos of Katy and Louella Read of Lovelady; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers included Kenneth Winlaw, Keith Hopkins, Chris Harrison, Fred Czajka, Jim Benson and Steve Monroe. Honorary pallbearers included Bob Tullos, Jimmy Owens, A.J. Riddle and Bill Graves.
Groveton Funeral Home directed the arrangements.

Falba Lea (Jackie) Sullivan
GROVETON – Services for Falba Lea (Jackie) Pharris Sullivan, 81, of Apple Springs were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Moore officiating.
Burial followed in Bennett Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan died Tuesday, June 24, in Lufkin.
She was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Salmon and was a retired salesperson and seamstress. She was a member of the Apple Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Irene Pharris; a daughter, Carol McComb; a son, Donald Glenn Sullivan; and her brother, Kenneth Pharris.
Survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Barbara and Kenneth Fry of Apple Springs and Rebecca and Asa Hatton of Alton, Wyo.; five brothers and their spouses, Charles and Evelyn Pharris of Spring, Joe Ed and Betty Pharris of Livingston, Robert and Emma Pharris of San Antonio, Gene and Donna Pharris of Conroe and Russell and Mary Pharris of Kilgore; three sisters and their spouses, Tine Oaks of Diboll, Nell and Billy Jackson of Freeport and Maurine and Elbie Smith of Sweeney; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Randall and Robin Fry, Dwayne and Mary Fry, Cody and Katria Hatton, Brandon and Millie Hatton, Teresa and Tom Matthews, Amber and Greg Pope, Darin and Candice McComb and Lynette and Erik Drake; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Robert Pharris, Gene Pharris, Russell Pharris, Randall Fry, Dwayne Fry, Brandon Hatton, Cody Hatton and Tom Erwin. Honorary pallbearers included Charles Pharris, Joe Ed Pharris and Eddie Oaks.
Groveton Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
