Spending down, employees cut in CAD budget

COLDSPRING – The San Jacinto County Central Appraisal District will have a public hearing on its proposed budget for the 2011 fi scal year on Sept. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Central Appraisal District’s boardroom. The proposed $913,953.00 budget is down $7,042 from the current budget. A total of 15 full-time employees are compensated under the proposed budget compared to 13 full-time employees compensated under the current budget. The appraisal district is supported by payments from the local taxing units served by the appraisal district. If approved by the appraisal district board of directors at the public hearing, the proposed budget will take effect automatically unless disapproved by the governing bodies of the county, school districts, cities and towns served by the appraisal district.
