San Jacinto News- Times

SHEPHERD – A 911 call advising the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department of a possible burglary in progress last Tuesday resulted in the arrest of three adults and one juvenile. G i v i n g vigilant citizens’ credit for their help in the case, San Jacinto County Sheriff James Walters said, “I would like to thank the citizens for keeping a watch over their neighbors. The economy is tough right now and crime is on the rise. I want to remind everyone that if you see suspicious activity in your area, please don’t hesitate to call 911 for an emergency or 936-653- 4367 for non-emergencies.” According to Walters, a citizen called stating that they saw people entering into two houses and carrying items out in a hurry on E. Beverly Drive and Joyce Street in Shepherd. The citizen also said that the suspects were leaving and gave dispatchers a good description of the vehicle. “Chief Deputy Long and Deputy Gilchrist intercepted the vehicle on FM 2025 and detained four suspects, which included Kyle White, Kelzin Bains of Shepherd, Robert Cantell Jr., of Cleveland and a juvenile. The four were arrested and charged with two felony counts of engaging in criminal activity – burglary. Stolen items were recovered
