Farm Bureau donation is expression of gratitude to volunteer firefighters
COLDSPRING – San Jacinto County Farm Bureau has donated $250 to San Jacinto County Volunteer Fire Department with $750 contributed by Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) to help recover resources and funds used to keep our community safe. “We are grateful for these firefighters’ tireless efforts to protect our homes, land, animals and families,” said San Jacinto County Farm Bureau President Charles Altman. “With all that they’ve done for our community, this is a worthy cause..” The TFB state office committed to match county Farm Bureau donations on a $3 to $1 basis, up to a maximum of $1,000 per volunteer fire department, across the state. TFB also will assist county Farm Bureaus with holding community events to show appreciation for the departments. To thank the firefighters who bravely protect ted our homes and property, San Jacinto County Farm Bureau hosted a cake and coffee reception recently. “Volunteer fire departments are ready, at a moment’s notice, not just to put out fires, but also to prevent them. This event aims to express our gratitude for their service and sacrifice,” Altman said.
