Resident charged after routine traffic stop

COLDSPRING – A routine traffi c stop near Coldspring led to the arrest of a resident for possession of chemicals used in the prod u c t i o n of methamphetamine. K i m b e r l y Ann Cazalas was arrested June 30, at about 11 p.m. when San Jacinto County Narcotics deputy Daniel Adams made a traffi c stop on a vehicle near the intersection of FM 946 North and Hwy. 156 North. Adams arrested Cazalas and charged her with possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. “In the State of Texas it is a felony offense to possess three or more chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine,” said San Jacinto County Sheriff James Walters.
