Blood drive planned

SHEPHERD – Shepherd Masonic Lodge 866 will sponsor a blood drive Friday, July 23, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Gulf Coast Blood Center blood mobile will be on the parking lot of McClain’s Grocery on that day and time for the convenience of all living in the area and all are encouraged to drop by, be screened and give a pint of blood. Besides furnishing space on their parking lot for the drive, McClain’s Grocery is donating a lunch special on that day to each person who gives a pint of blood. Walk-ins are welcome, however, you may schedule an appointment by visiting www.giveblood.org and login to digital donor and enter sponsor code 2325 or you may contact Jon W. Dunn at 936-298-3757 to sign up. If you have been turned down several years ago, please be advised that the rules for giving blood do change.
