Father charged with murdering son

COLDSPRING – A Cedar Valley Subdivision resident has been charged with murdering his son on Saturday, July 10. Dead is 24-year-old Joseph Lee Wright. According to San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Deputies, Joseph’s father, John Wright, was taken into custody without incident and booked on the charge. Bond was set at $200,000. San Jacinto County Sheriff James Walters said Joseph had apparently received serious lacerations to the throat and neck area. After arriving on the scene about 8:45 p.m. and speaking with several witnesses deputies arrested John Wright for the stabbing death of his son. Walters gave no motive for the murder, saying the incident is still under investigation.
