4th of July celebration planned in Shepherd

SHEPHERD – The Shepherd Chamber of Commerce will be popping off the 4th of July celebration with music and a fireworks display Tuesday, July 3, beginning at 8 p.m. According to Shepherd Chamber of Commerce President Kay Martin, the fireworks will begin around 9 p.m., at the new Shepherd Community Center located across the street from Shepherd Elementary School on Hwy. 150 east. On Wednesday, July 4th, activities will resume at 2 p.m. with music from live bands, food, and craft vendors. “Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy the two-day event with us,” Martin said.
