Public hearing on appraisal district’s budget scheduled

COLDSPRING – A public hearing on the San Jacinto County Appraisal District’s 2013 proposed budget is scheduled to be held Tuesday, June 26, beginning at 6 p.m. in the appraisal office. The district is proposing a 2013 budget totaling $913,499, a decrease of $4,978 from the 2012 budget. There are no changes proposed in the number of employees, which total 14. If the proposed budget is approved the Appraisal District’s Board of Directors during the public hearing, the proposed budget will take effect automatically unless disapproved by the governing bodies of the county, school districts, cities and towns served by the San Jacinto County Appraisal District’s Board of Directors. The appraisal district is located at 99 Slade Street, Coldspring.
