Emergency broadcast system to be tested weekly in Shepherd

SHEPHERD -- The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting weekly tests of the emergency broadcast system located in Shepherd. The test will occur every Wednesday at noon. When the tones sound it will be followed by a public address load speaker system letting the citizens know what the emergency is and any further information needed. If you have any questions regarding this matter you can call Shepherd City Hall at 936-628-3305 or the sheriff department’s main line 936- 653-4367. Please do not call 911 unless it is an emergency.
