COLDSPRING – New windshield stickers for 2009 are available at each of San Jacinto County Commissioner’s precinct offi ces. The stickers, required annually for the use of the county’s four garbage collection stations, are $75 for one sticker and $10 for one additional sticker. Stickers for the disabled with a disabled license plate are $50 each. Replacement stickers are $10 each and bag stickers are $10 for a book of 10. Each bag of garbage requires one sticker. All stickers are non-refundable. Garbage collection stations are open at Pct. 1, Coldspring Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. In Pct. 2, Shepherd, the site is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. In Pct. 3, Evergreen, the site is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. In Pct. 4, Point Blank, the site is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. All facilities will be closed on New Years, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Privately owned trash collecting services and businesses are not permitted to dump at the compactor stations. Waste delivered loose in pickup trucks are priced at the rate of $10 per pickup truck or $25 for 16 ft. trailer. Large, bulky, hard to handle items are priced according to size. Television sets, chairs and tables are $3 to dump; mattress with box springs is $4; sofas are $5 and desks are $6 to dump.
