DETCOG meets Nov. 18

JASPER - The Deep East Texas Council of Governments (DETCOG) Board of Directors will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Camp Cho-Yeh Conference Center near Livingston, Texas. Lunch will be served at noon with the board meeting to follow. The special guest speaker will be Dr. Karl Eschbach, the State Demographer appointed by Governor Rick Perry. Welcoming DETCOG members and guest to Polk County will be County Judge John Thompson, Livingston Mayor Clark Evans, Bill Holder of the Trinity River Authority, Polk County Commissioner Tommy Overstreet, JoAnn Battise of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation of Texas and Polk County Minority Representative Elgin Davis. DETCOG Board President Charlie Simmons extends an invitation to the meeting to all interested parties.
