Community Thanksgiving Service announced
San Jacinto News- Times - November 2008
COLDSPRING -- Coldspring’s annual Community Thanksgiving Service is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m., in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church. The church is located at 100 East Pine Avenue in Coldspring. Rev. Larry Smith, pastor of Coldspring United Methodist Church, will deliver the message. The service will include a special offering for Care Share Mission and will be followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. Care Share Mission was established years ago to provide food and other essential items to the needy in our area on a temporary emergency basis. The mission center is supported by several San Jacinto County churches, and it is staffed by volunteers from these churches. Your personal support of the center’s work through gifts to this special offering will be greatly appreciated. The Community Thanksgiving Service has been a longtime tradition in Coldspring. It is a time for Christians of all faiths to gather and give thanks for God’s many blessings. Dr. Don M. Shannon, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Rev. Larry Smith, invite you to make this service a part of your family’s Thanksgiving.
