Two arrested for armed robbery

POINT BLANK – Two Point Blank residents have been arrested for the Aug. 5, aggravated robbery of the Shell Station located on Hwy. 190. Arrested and charged with aggravated robbery are Jakedrick Norman, 26 and Ernest Wyatt, 21. According to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Offi ce, on Aug. 5, about 2:16 a.m. two armed men attacked the store clerk in the parking lot as he was leaving the store. One of the suspects pointed a weapon at him and demanded his wallet before dragging him back into the store and ordering him to turn over the store’s cash. “Norman turned himself into authorities on Sept. 20 and Wyatt was arrested on Oct. 2 by Constable Alvin Wyatt as he was exiting the same Shell Station that he had allegedly robbed weeks before,” said San Jacinto County Sheriff James Walters. Bonds for both subjects have been set at $50,000 each. In a separate incident, Ernest Wyatt was arrested for the second time in October and this time charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine and booked into the county jail. According to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Offi ce, on Oct. 14, about 1 a.m. Wyatt was arrested after a traffi c stop investigation in Point Blank. “About 5:30 a.m. K-9 Deputy Adams was dispatched to the jail after what appeared to be marijuana and cocaine where found inside of a jail cell. Wyatt was interviewed and admitted to bringing the narcotics inside of the jail,” Sheriff Walters said. Wyatt has been charged with two misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, one state jail felony and two third degree felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and prohibited substance inside a correctional facility. Bond was set at a total of $52,500 for all charges.
