Wyatt arrests two for vehicle thefts
POINT BLANK – San Jacinto County Precinct 4 Constable Alvin Wyatt arrested and jailed two suspects in two separate incidents recently involving stolen vehicles that he recovered. According to Wyatt, San Jacinto County resident Clifton McKinney is charged with burglarizing a home in Coldspring where two firearms were stolen. He is also charged with the theft of a 2004 Dodge truck stolen from the Trinity Public Works Department, Wyatt said. Wyatt recovered the vehicle and it has been returned to Trinity County. McKinney remains in the San Jacinto County Jail, Wyatt said. In another incident, Richard Paul Kay, of Missouri, was charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, failure to identify fugitive from justice and parole violation from Missouri. Wyatt said he located Kay about 4:30 p.m. on Hwy. 190 in Point Blank after an allpoints bulletin went out. Kay attempted to evade Wyatt with Wyatt in pursuit as far as the Hwy. 190 Bridge where Kay ditched the vehicle and went on foot into the woods. Wyatt said Kay got away but hours later Wyatt found him him walking on Hwy. 190 where he was placed under arrest. Found in Kay's possession were a cell-phone, debit card and check belonging to the owner of the truck, according to Wyatt. Kay also remains incarcerated in the San Jacinto County Jail, according to Wyatt.
