Changes noted in voting boxes for upcoming elections

COLDSPRING – Corrections have been made in election precincts in San Jacinto County, according to San Jacinto County Elections Administrator Karen Day.
“Some voters who voted at Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department will now vote at Old Waverly School and some of the voters who voted at Old Waverly School will vote at Bear Creek VFD,” Day said.
Big Creek Voting Box of FM 2666 sustained severe damage Monday during a storm. Voters in that box will be moved, Day said.
As of Tuesday, Day said, “We don’t know exactly where those voters will go to cast ballots. We will know more later this week.
EARLY VOTING
Early Voting for Coldspring Oakhurst Consolidated Independent School District’s school tax rate rollback election will be conducted each weekday from Oct. 22 – Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Coldspring Oakhurst CISD Administration Building at 14210 Hwy 150 W, Coldspring.
Early Voting for the Proposed Constitutional Amendment Election will be conducted each weekday from Oct. 22 – Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Senior Annex Bldg at 51 E Pine Ave, Coldspring.
Early Voting for Shepherd Independent School District’s special election for trustee Position #3 will be conducted each weekday from Oct. 22 until Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Shepherd ISD Administration Bldg at 1401 S Byrd Ave, Shepherd.
ELECTION DAY
Election Day the Coldspring Oakhurst Consolidated ISD for school tax rate rollback election, to be held in conjunction with the San Jacinto County Constitutional Amendment Election on Nov. 6, will be held from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at these polling locations:
Pct. 1 – Senior Annex; Pct. 8 – Oakhurst VFD; Pct. 3 – Evergreen Community Center; Pct. 10 – Pct. 3 Annex; Pct. 6 – Paul Horton Church; Pct. 14 – Old Waverly School; Pct. 7 – Point Blank Pct. 4 Annex.
Election Day the Shepherd ISD Election for Trustee Position #3 to be held in conjunction with the San Jacinto County Constitutional Amendment Election on Nov. 6, will be held from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at these polling locations:
Pct. 2 – Shepherd Community Center; Pct. 13 – Mercy Water Supply; Pct. 4 – Cozy Forest Subdivision.
CITY OF SHEPHERD
Early Voting for the City of Shepherd Special Election for mayor and two aldermen will be conducted each weekday from Oct. 22 – Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the City Hall Building at 11020 Hwy 150, Shepherd. Late night voting will be held on Oct. 24 and on Oct. 31, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Election Day for the City of Shepherd Special Election for mayor and two aldermen will be conducted on Nov. 6, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Shepherd Community Center.
