Grand jury indicts 26 during October

COLDSPRING – Twenty-six grand jury indictments were returned by the San Jacinto County Grand Jury during the month of October.

Those indicted include Don Allen Whitaker, 42, for the Jan. 2, 2007 aggravated sexual of a child younger than 14 years of age.

Stephanie Leann Squibb, 19, was indicted for forgery.
Fifty-eight-year-old John C. Spradley, III, was indicted for driving while intoxicated, his third offense.
Xerox Luvon Thompson, 32, was indicted for theft of a firearm. It was further presented to the grand jury that Thompson was convicted of the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance on May 23, 1997 in Montgomery County. After the conviction was final, Thompson committed the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was convicted on Dec. 17, 1997 in Brazoria County.
Taylor Hopkins, 18, was indicted for the Sept. 25, 2007 burglary of TD’s Super Mart in Shepherd where he allegedly took a .357 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver, cartons of cigarettes and a money box containing rolled coins. Hopkins was also indicted for theft of a firearm.
Brazhetta Renee Henry, 24, was indicted twice for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Henry was also indicted for possession of marijuana.
Buford Wayne Gearhart, 57, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance.
Daryn Marvin Gaines, 21, was indicted for the theft of a 2005 Yamaha Raptor four-wheeler.
Brian David Mausser, 40, was indicted for possession of marijuana.
Curtis Wayne Jordan, 29, was indicted for theft of a 2005 Yamaha Raptor four-wheeler.
Jeremy Andrew Alford, 20, was indicted for burglary of a habitation where it is alleged he took a Winchester 12-gauge auto shotgun, pocket knives and miscellaneous tools from a Coldspring Cameron Duanne Beck, 19, was indicted for burglary of a habitation, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit arson and for burglary of a building with intent to commit criminal mischief.
Freddie Evans Jr., 22, was indicted on two counts of possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Larry James Charles, 18, was indicted for the burglary of TD’s Super Mart on Sept. 25, 2007. He was also indicted for theft of a firearm.
David Joseph Blunt, 33, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance.
Anthony Franklin, 29, was indicted for evading arrest with a vehicle and for theft.
Charles Lynn Grisham, 41, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance.
James Dolphs Elmore Sr., 57, was indicted for possession of marijuana.
