Annual scholarship event planned

SHEPHERD – The annual San Jacinto County Area Go Texan Scholarship Dinner and Auction is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Cleveland Civic Center in Cleveland.
The fundraising, scholarship event begins at 6 p.m., with tickets selling for $10, which includes a steak dinner with all the trimmings. A $50 ticket is also available which also includes a steak dinner plus entry for prizes that include a Winchester 270 HOWA Rifle with 3-10 power scope mounted; Remington 1187 20 gauge automatic shotgun; AR by PSE 29” 70 pound Compound bow and much more.
The grand prize includes a Kubota RTV Utility Vehicle.
Only 250 presale tickets will be sold. Tickets must be purchased in advanced. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are on sale at Shepherd Auto Parts, First State Bank, Shepherd; Peoples State Bank, Shepherd, Peoples State Bank, Coldspring; and The Bank of San Jacinto County, Coldspring.
