Students sought for academic studies

San Jacinto News Times - January 2008

COLDSPRING -- Advanced Academic Services, Coldspring-Oakhurst school district’s program for gifted and talented students, is currently accepting nominations for the 2008-2009 school year, announces Donna Azodi, special programs director.
Azodi said Advanced Academic Services is designed to meet the needs of gifted students by using a curriculum designed to encourage critical analysis and higher-order thinking.
Anyone may nominate a student for the program including parents or other family members, teachers, or community members. Nominations will be accepted for all students currently in grades kindergarten through eleven (K-11).  Forms are available from campus offices or on the COCISD website at www.cocisd.org.  Nomination deadline is January 31.
