Trinity Standard -
TRINITY – Ray Stone of Dallas Cowboys Reports will be the guest speaker for the Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s annual membership banquet planned Tuesday, May 11. The hospitality hour will begin at 6 p.m. and the banquet will start at 7 p.m. at Archie’s Restaurant on the River located off Highway 19 south of Trinity. Tickets are available for $15 per person or $25 per couple from chamber board members at Trinity Auction Gallery, Trinity State Farm Insurance, ETMC-Trinity, McMichael Enterprise Building or by calling Lora Beth Robicheaux at (979) 220-7145 or (936) 594-3856. Stone, who has covered the Dallas Cowboys football team for almost 35 years, will be the keynote speaker and is expected to bring the audience to the edge of their seats with humorous stories of some of the great Cowboy players, both past and present. He also will discuss the value of shopping at home and impart knowledge gained through a four-year study on the decay of small rural towns across Texas. Stone also has agreed to support the chamber by supplying fundraising items to be auctioned during the annual Trinity Community Fair in September. He will provide pictures and a football, all autographed by Hall of Fame Cowboy greats. During the banquet, the chamber also will recognize top members for their service to the community as part of the annual awards ceremony. The public is invited to attend.
