TCSO raid residence, arrest 1 drug suspect
Trinity Standard -
TRINITY – A Trinity man was in custody on drug charges after a raid on a Dillard Street residence last week by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department. Kieldick Greggs was taken into custody in the home after officers found white rocks believed to be crack cocaine as well as a large sum of money. The rocks, described as off-white in color, were found inside a pill bottle. A field test indicated they contained cocaine but they will be sent to a laboratory for formal analysis. Trinity County Sheriff Ralph Montemayor said the arrest came Friday, Dec. 2, when Narcotics Investigator Paul Shipper executed a search warrant starting at about 1:15 p.m. on the northeast end of Dillard Street in Trinity. The search warrant was served with the help of the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Response Team, Pct. 2 Constable Sterling Johnson and deputies with the Precinct 4 Constables Office. Montemayor said activity in the house had been under investigation for a while and provided an opportunity for the newly formed Emergency Response Team to operate. The sheriff said the team operated in a “very professional manner.” He noted the team’s training was sponsored by the Trinity County Crime Stoppers.
