Black History Month program set Feb. 15
Trinity Standard - February 2009


TRINITY – A celebration of black history will be presented during the Clegg Chapel Missionary Baptist Church’s 4th Annual Black History Program on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Pastor Henry R. Lovelady and the church’s congregation invite the public to attend the event, which will begin at 3 p.m. at the church, located at 100 Walnut Street in Trinity.
The program is sponsored by Sister Lois Boyd, pastor’s aid president.
The Rev. Otis Oneal, pastor of the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Conroe will bring the message during the program.
This year’s theme will be “From Shepherd Boy… to King … to Commander and Chief.”
The program will feature the history being made in 2009 with the inauguration of President Barak Obama.
In addition, there will be singing, stories, speeches, remarks and, most of all, the word from the Lord.
Other speakers will include James McCullough of Crockett, the Rev. Randy Oliphant of Trinity and the Rev. Henry Lovelady of Crockett.
Singers will include The Obryant Singers of Huntsville, Sister O’Neal of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Crockett and others.
