One jailed after raid on suspected drug house

TRINITY – A 46-year-old Trinity man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor drug charges following a raid last week by Trinity County sheriff’s deputies and Trinity police. Robert Sebastian Houston, also known as “Pony,” was arrested by Narcotics Investigator Paul Shipper of the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department at his residence at 1009 Lue Street in Trinity. According to Shipper, the arrest came after he witnessed what appeared to be a narcotics transaction take place in a shed located beside the residence. During the subsequent search of the property, officers found a small quantity of marijuana and prescription pills. Officers said Houston was currently on probation in connection with three undercover drug purchases made last year. Joining Shipper during the arrest were Chief Steve Jones and Sgt. Randy Wheeler of the Trinity Police Department.
