Calling all artists; its almost fair time
Trinity Standard - July 2009
TRINITY – All area artists are being asked to begin preparing their work for exhibition during the 60th Annual Trinity Community Fair set for Sept. 25-26.
The annual art show held as part of the fair will be held inside the Trinity Community Center and art works may be entered free of charge.
Items that may be displayed include those made using oils, water colors, pen and ink, pencil, charcoals, pastels and crayon. No tracings will be accepted.
Each item must be mounted or framed with a hanger. Entries should have a small card attached with the name of the artists, subject, media and whether or not its an original work or a copy. The card must be placed in the lower right corner of the art.
The entries will be judged by graduates of the Sam Houston State University art department.
Fair officials will be on hand to accept entries at the community center located off South Robb Street (Highway 19) on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 24.
Those entering art works will be asked to fill out a form listing the name of the person who will be picking up the item if it is someone other than the exhibitor.
A separate children’s art show featuring items prepared by Trinity school students also will be held.
