TRINITY – A $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those involved in a pair of burglaries in the Westwood Shores subdivision was posted Tuesday morning by the property owners’ association (POA). According to Pct. 1 Constable Woody Wallace, sometime between about 2 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, someone broke into the Westwood Shores Country Store and the POA office. The store and POA office are located in the same building and Wallace said the thieves kicked in the doors to both to gain entry. Listed as missing from the store was a computer while a safe was ripped out of the floor in the POA office. Anyone with information that could help solve the burglaries is asked to contact Wallace at 594-2122. In other activity by the constable, last week Precinct 1 officers arrested Ira Hayes Valentine and James K. Moody after the two Trinity area men were indicted on a delivery of a controlled substance charge (prescription pills) issued by the Trinity County grand jury.
