GROVETON – A drug raid on a Groveton apartment last week ended with the arrest of two suspects by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department. Marissa Williams, 21, of Groveton and Kerry Moore, 32, of Corrigan were both charged with possession of a controlled substance following the raid. Williams was free this week after posting a $75,000 bond while Moore remained in the custody of the sheriff’s department. His bond also was set at $75,000. According to Sheriff Ralph Montemayor, the arrest occurred Friday, March 11, when officers armed with a warrant raided the apartment off FM 355 occupied by Williams. During the raid, officers seized a quantity of methamphetamines. Montemayor said his department was assisted by the Huntsville Police Department during the investigation and subsequent arrests. |
