Morrison seek council seat
Trinity Standard -
TRINITY – Longtime Trinity resident Phillip Morrison has announced he is seeking the Position 4 Trinity City Council seat in the May 14 elections. Morrison is challenging incumbent Councilman Neal Smith in the race. The owner of Morrison Bros. Construction, Morrison has been building custom homes and remodeling in the Trinity area since 1978. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Cal Poly State University. The candidate has been married to Lynn Morrison for 33 years. Together they have raised their three children, Nicki, Matthew and Murphy Morrison in Trinity. His two sons live here with their families and have businesses of their own. Morrison also owns commercial property in the downtown area and is motivated and interested in the working of the city of Trinity. He previously served six years on the Trinity City Council and six years on the Trinity Memorial Hospital District’s board. He feels that his knowledge of the building business and the people of the Trinity community could serve this city to improve the appearance and ability to draw new business to the city, which in turn grows our economy. Morrison said he is also interested in bringing the younger generation into the politics of Trinity and changing this city into a positive and prosperous place that will improve in the years to come. “Your support and vote are greatly appreciated,” he said.
