TRINITY – A police pursuit through the Westwood Shores subdivision Friday night ended with one arrest and the recovery of a motorcycle reported as stolen. Darrell Roeben, 48, was arrested at his residence in the Coach Village area of Westwood Shores by Pct. 1 Deputy Constable Mark Cole. The suspect was charged with felony evading arrest using a vehicle and with driving with a suspended license. According to Constable Woody Wallace, the arrest came after Cole witnessed a motorcycle passing another vehicle in a no passing zone and almost running a vehicle off of FM 356. Cole initiated a pursuit that lead into Westwood Shores. “The suspect blew through the guard gate and proceeded into the subdivision all the way back to Coach Village,” Wallace said. Cole apprehended the suspect when he reached his residence. The deputy constable was soon joined at the scene by Wallace and Deputy Constable Ricky Hope. During the investigation, it was discovered the motorcycle had been reported as stolen and Wallace said his office was working with an out-of-county department on additional charges related to the theft of the vehicle.
