Father, son charged with metal theft
Trinity Standard -
TRINITY – A pair of suspects identified as father and son were arrested Saturday on metal theft charges by the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office. Christopher Brannon, 32, and Timothy Case, 18, were both charged with the state jail felony of theft of material 50% aluminum, bronze or copper. The also were both subsequently charged with possession prohibited items in a correction facility after they were alleged to have been caught smoking cigarettes in their jail cells. According to Constable Woody Wallace, the arrest occurred when Deputy Constable Rusty Barrett spotted two men apparently removing items from the old Powledge Septic System yard off FM 356. “Rusty was off-duty and was driving by when he spotted the suspicious activity and turned around and went back to check it out,” Wallace. Precinct 1 deputies have made previous arrests at that location regarding the theft of metal.
