Early voting polls open on Oct. 22

GROVETON – Early voting for the Nov. 6 general election will get underway on Oct. 22 in Groveton, Trinity and Apple Springs. According to Trinity County Clerk Diane McCrory, early voting will again be held at the Groveton Volunteer Fire Department’s meeting room, Trinity City Hall and the Apple Springs Volunteer Fire Department meeting room. They will be open at all three locations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, Oct. 22, through Saturday, Oct. 27. The polls will reopen from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Groveton and Trinity only from Oct. 29-Nov. 2. McCrory noted that the last day to apply for a mail ballot will be on Oct. 30. Election Day will be Tuesday, Nov. 6, and will include races ranging from President of the United States down to county precinct constables. Local offices to be decided in the election include that of 411th Judicial District Judge, 258th District Attorney, county sheriff, county attorney, county tax assessor-collector, the precinct 1 and 3 county commissioners and all four county precinct constables.
