McCrory hosts election school

TRINITY — On Tuesday, Oct. 8, an Election School was held for Trinity County Election Judges and Clerks. The training was hosted by County Clerk Diane McCrory and her staff, Shasta Bergman, Chief Deputy Clerk, Tracy Waddle, Deputy Clerk, and Lona Walker, Deputy Clerk. There were 58 people in attendance. Topics covered included consolidation of voting boxes for the 11-5-2013 Amendment Election, checklists to follow for the 11-5-2013 Amendment Election, provisional voting and the new photo identification requirement for voters voting in the upcoming Nov. 5 Amendment Election and any future elections held in Trinity County. Sample ballots for the Amendment Election were distributed as well as new forms and the Handbook for Elections for Judges and Clerks issued by the Secretary of State. Attendance at this training qualified attendees with completion of the Poll Worker Training requirements mandated by the Secretary of State.
