The event is open to all veterans of all ages with U.S. military or National Guard service – whether or not the service was in a war on foreign soil. This year's event is also open to friends of veterans 21 years old or older and military service is not required. Proceeds this year benefit the V.F.W. operating fund. The format is a four-person scramble and players can sign up as a team or as individuals who will be assigned to a team. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, third and a mystery place team, longest drives, closest-to-the-pin on Par 3's and for the optional Putting Contest and Chipping Contest winners. Again this year a new golf cart is offered as a hole-in-one prize on the specified hole.
