Trinity's 19th annual Christmas at the Crossroads fast approaching

The 19th annual Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Christmas at the Crossroads will take place Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. The town will Throughout the day, citizens can expect tacos, kabobs, BBQ, funnel cakes, chili, hot chocolate, popcorn, and baked goods of all kinds, along with merchant stands from local businesses that will include quilts, metal art, jewelry, home décor, doggy treats, and much more. Arts and crafts booths will cost $20 for one 10x10 spot, or $30 for two booths. First come, first serve. Applicants who will require electricity must fill out an application to reserve an area near an electrical outlet. Anyone with a booth this year is asked to park behind the First National Bank. Volunteers will be available to help unload and carry equipment, if necessary. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m will be a Christmas performance, followed by further performances at 2 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4 p.m, on a stage lent by the Trinity County Fair Association and erected at the West Tire Shop Lot. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trinity Florist will host their usual open house. The public is invited to shop, browse, sample, win prizes, and enjoy the Christmas spirt. Pictures with Santa will be available from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Photographer Alicia Kirkland will be presiding, at the same low costs as last year. At 6 p.m. will be the parade. This year's parade, themed "Snowmen Super Heroes and "Songs of Christmas," will feature a visit from Santa Claus and several other displays, new and old, including the Trinity Fire Department and Special Queens of Trinity. Judging for the parade will start at 4:30 p.m. on Lleras Street, off of Hwy 19, beside the old Alco parking lot. Participants will be required to fill out an application. At 7 p.m. is the tree lighting ceremony. Music will be provided by the TISD choir and band, and candy will be passed out. The evening will end at 7:30 p.m., when prizes and awards are officially handed out. Float winners will be announced, and trophies will be awarded for the decorations of inside and outside businesses
