Trinity Standard , April 2007
TRINITY – Friends of Avalon, Inc. will formally dedicate the Sam Barnes Park during ceremonies set for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Avalon Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The public is invited to attend and refreshments will be served. A tour of the Avalon Place facilities also will be provided.
Located off Highway 19 South in Trinity, Avalon Place has become the first rest home in Texas to have a walking trail, fishing pier and outside visitor’s pavilion.
The park project was conducted by the Friends of Avalon, which will continue to raise money to ensure that residents of the facility and their families are able to enjoy the park and it amenities.
The group’s next fund raiser will be the Fourth Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show scheduled for May 19 at the Trinity Community Center. Additional details about that event will be released in the coming weeks.
