Breaking the Cycle event slated for Jan. 18

TRINITY — Legacy Martial Arts and SAAFE House are teaming up to raise awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault. The 1st Annual 'Breaking the Cycle' event will be held at Legacy Martial Arts in Huntsville, on Jan. 18, beginning at 2 p.m. This event will include students and instructors breaking a board every nine seconds for every $5 raised. The money raised from this event will benefit the SAAFE House. Monetary donations can be dropped off at the SAAFE house 1423 Sam Houston Ave., Huntsville; or Legacy Martial Arts 1015 13th street, Huntsville. SAAFE House, Sexual Assault & Abuse Free Environment, is a non-profit organization where victims of abuse can turn for support or assistance.
